Plant
Liquid Niugini Gas has been established to pioneer production of LNG in Papua New Guinea and will build and operate a gas processing facility delivering LNG and on-shore NGL processing.
The planned capacity of the LNG liquefaction plant is 5 million tons per annum as a single processing train, with the option to add a second processing train.
Bechtel is the selected FEED/EPC contractor for the Project and ConocoPhillips technology will be used.
The proposed plant is strategically located adjacent to the InterOil refinery at Napa Napa, Port Moresby. This central location takes advantage of local infrastructure and available workforce.
The NGL extraction plant will process wet gas feedstock at the Napa Napa site, producing LPG for export.
Pipeline
A 36-inch feedgas pipeline will be built from the InterOil Elk gas field to Napa Napa to transport 1,800 MMSCFD. Gas will be compressed at the Elk field for the transfer.
